Cat Thomson Interview
BA Professional Photography graduate Cat Thompson talks about her recent work in Trajectory, set up by The Print Space, London. Cat's work investigates the relationship between photography and the portrait. Cat will be exhibiting her work at Out of The Blue in Edinburgh and Free Range Shows, London in June along with her fellow graduates.
What has your experience been like at Edinburgh College studying photography? Have there been any tutors / experiences that have had a particularly profound impact during your time there?
My experience at Edinburgh College was a super positive one. The tutors are all very passionate about the subject and are always available to cast a critical eye over your work, they push us hard but I think we all appreciate it because we produce better work that way. There are also some very good photographers in my class which helps to quash any laziness out of you - no one wants to be the one dragging their heels!
