Photography A Visual Language
On Saturday 19th of March I made my way to the Natural History Museum in London to attend the Photography A Visual Language event. The event was organised by Grant Scott (Senior Photography Lecturer the University of Gloucestershire and editor of The United Nations of Photography) in conjunction with Ian McGuffie from the Van Arts: Vancouver Institute of Media Arts, Vancouver, Canada. The day comprised of six panel talks ranging from Music photography as document to Fashion and Commissioned photography as document. The whole day provided insight and inspiration to a sell out audience. The talks crossed many genres of photography and stressed the importance of making personal work as well as working with clients through commissioned work. All of which have been filmed and are now available to view on the United Nations of Photography website. Have a look - more to come.
